Sustainable Cities for Water
High-profile speakers from the United States, the Middle East, and Europe featured in an International Conference on Sustainable Cites for Water, which took place in Barcelona on 20 February 2015.
The aim was to promote and develop sustainable practices related to water management and exchange knowledge and experiences concerning water management within different varying regions.
Examples were given, comparing Catalonia to the drought situation in Jordan, public participation in Greece, water management in Turkey, and water quality in Israel.
In addition, new candidates for the Board of Directors of NETWERC H2O were presented and elected.
Europe for Business representatives attended the Conference on behalf of the BeWater project, creating new networking links and relationships for future activities.
The event was organized by NETWERC H2O, The Diputació de Barcelona, and Xarxa de Ciutats I Pobles Cap a la Sostenibilitat.
